Gears of War 2

I haven’t really been keeping up with the second installment to the GOW series since I don’t have a 360, but I came across this video and had to share the amazingness that is the newest Gears.

Aside from it looking gorgeous, it seems that they have fixed some things that were wrong with the first, such as being invincible while chainsawing, and added some new goodies. Obviously that’s what should happen in any sequel, but from the video it looks like it’s shaping up to be another great game.

Ken Griffey Jr.

I had to write an autobiography the other day for an English class, and I chose Ken Griffey Jr. He’s my favorite baseball player, and as far as I’m concerned, the best ever. Recently he hit his 600th career home run, and I’d like to share that. There weren’t any videos that were of that great of quality, but I think this will do.

Tha Carter III Hits A Milli

Posted in Music on June 19th, 2008 by Administrator

Tha Carter III, the sixth studio album from Lil Wayne, has gone platinum, selling over a million albums in its first week (including 423,000 on the first day), the first time the feat has been accomplished since 50 Cent’s The Massacre did so in 2005. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the album sold 1,005,545 copies in it’s first week. The most in between these two albums was +957K by Kanye West last September. To give you some kind of idea how rare this is, the second highest selling album of the week was Definition of Real by Plies, which sold 214,532 albums. Depending which version you look at, the album has anywhere from 16 to 23 songs, with 25 different songs including iTunes bonus tracks. So what do you do the week after releasing one of the most successful albums in history? Apparently start work on Tha Carter IV; the “A Milli” remix.

Rhapsody interviewed the producers of Tha Carter III. I think it’s an interesting look at what goes into making an album.
