THE PACK

Posted in Sports on December 29th, 2005 by scmach

With a loss Sunday the Packers (3-12) will be almost assured a top 3 pick. With a Texans (2-13) win the Pack will slide into the number 2 spot. The only way for the Packers to have the number 1 pick in the 2006 draft would be a New Orleans (3-12) win. The Saints play Tampa Bay (10-5) who will have something to play for, while the Saints have something to lose for. The Packers in the end will be in the 2-3 range, and with that, hopefully a trade will be manufactured.

I saw this ad on some site about this Quentin Tarantino movie, so I checked it out. Turns out, it’s "presented" by him. I don’t really know what role he had in it, but since his name is there, it’s gotta be Tarantinoesque, right? It’s directed by Eli Roth, who did Cabin Fever, which I’ve never seen. This new movie, however, looks, fucked…up… The home site for it , while not having much there, is freaky enough, but the movie looks twisted. Crazy premise, and from what I could tell, it won’t be pretty. Unless you think the epitomy of gore is pretty. Anyway, I can’t wait to see it.

Happy Birthday

I think it’s only fitting to send out a big happy birthday to Beethoven. If he were still alive, he’d be 235 years old. But since he’s dead, happy birthday William "Refrigerator" Perry. 43 years and counting. Who am I kidding? Screw those guys. You’re a pain in the ass, but I still love ya. Happy birthday sis.

I recently discovered that facebook now has a section for favorite TV shows. I don’t know how long that’s been there, but it’s about damn time. Around The Horn deserves to be recognized!! Anyway, it’s yet another innovation to this magical/devil site. Viva la facebook! (and Around The Horn)

Up In Smoke

Posted in Uncategorized on December 14th, 2005 by Administrator

There are three people in this world that I have seen up close and personal smoking a pipe. These three people are my step-grandpa, some mentally challenged guy at the pool I worked at, and as of today, a college student shoveling his driveway. I think smoking in general is disgusting, but what possessed this guy to start smoking a pipe? I mean the first two guys were at least older, from a time when this option may have been more popular, but a college student? And he was shoveling while doing it. Or was he doing it while shoveling? Either way, I’m confused.

The Beauty of Mother Nature

One time when I was at the dentist, I looked out the window and saw a black squirrel. I had never seen such a thing before, and I was struck with awe. Well, not really. But it was pretty cool. Nevertheless, this was not something I imagined when I saw the black furball for the first time, and quite frankly, I’m glad me and the little guy were never formally introduced.

President Bush

2-9 isn’t a very good record, especially for the Green Bay Packers. But while fans of the Bears and Vikings love the "demise" of the green and gold, and cling to unwarranted hopes of Super Bowl glory, I choose to look ahead. The Packers still have the best QB in the NFC North, and the supposed weak spot, the defense, has actually been a bright spot amongst some disgraceful football. Add that to the future, and the Pack will once again reign supreme.

Itsa mea, Mario.
