NFL

Gotta love Peyton Manning. Not only is easily one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL but he is also humble, classy and an all-around good guy.  Too bad more pros aren’t like him.

WHY?

Posted in Sports on November 30th, 2005 by Administrator

So I was watching this NFL Films show about Jimmy The Greek. Apparently he was some PR guru and a pretty popular guy on NFL Today on CBS back in the day. Then one day he was getting interviewed and he said some stuff like the black athlete is better because of their bodies and what not. He got fired because of it, and eventually lead to his death. I don’t get it. This kind of thing comes up every once in awhile and it’s always made into a huge deal. A coach or somebody will say black athletes are better than white, they’re faster, stronger, whatever. Then they get crucified. Why? It’s not like they are being cruel to a certain group of people. Maybe it’s a stereotype, but I don’t see how it is demeaning. Plus, I’d be willing to bet that there are a lot of people who think the same thing.

College Basketball

I have to say the Duke Blue Devils are looking good this year.  They have some great returners, Sheldon Williams, Sean Dockery, Lee Melchionni and the National Player of the Year, JJ Redick.  The Devils also have some of the nation’s best freshmen in Greg Paulus, Josh McRoberts and Eric Boateng.  Add that to a great coaching staff which includes one of the best college coaches of all-time, Mike Krzyzewski, you have an awesome squad.  With this leadership, talent and depth, how could you not pick the Dukies to go all the way?

Nelly Nel

Ahh, you gotta love Nelly. First he makes two different cd’s to sell at once, basically doubling the sales. Then he re-releases the album with select tracks from the two albums with a couple new tunes. These also happened to be his third and fourth or third, fourth and fifth albums. He also has a Vokal clothing line and Pimp Juice energy drink. I’m guessing he has a lot of money. Oh wait, yeah, yeah he does.

7th Floor Crew

So this dude has a blog at Miami, and he basically is the dude who got this all started. He had previous posts, but if you read anything about this on ESPN, I think this one is the best, and it’s true. This is not news. It’s a song. It’s a rap song. It’s supposed to be offensive. If Pat Forde doesn’t like it, he doesn’t have to listen to it.

If you’d like to hear this 9 minute song, and possibly get a laugh out of it, here ya go.

Gophers

Now I’m not a Gopher fan, and especially not a Gopher hockey fan, but this, this is ridiculous. Don’t these “reporters” haveĀ  more important things to do?

Actually, I don’t really care seeing as it is indeed about Badger Rejects, but hey, it could happen to YOU!!

What a creative name for the dancer turned bum husband/father turned leech turned bum husband/father turned rapper, aka Kevin Federline. Supposedly his current wife and baby’s mama, one Britney Spears who has sold over 76 million records worldwide, thinks his music is trash as well. If you don’t wanna take her word for it, take mine, or your own.
